Adding Layers Gives The Hair More Width And Volume.
When your hair is dry roll it into some curls to get a nice curl to it. Cut the very ends of the hair at a slight angle. Hold the hold between your fingers to splay it evenly as you cut it.
Divide The Rest Of Your Hair In The Back, Starting At The Crown Of Your Head.
The first step is to use the 1 1/2″ guide to cut the top, back and side. Repeat for the right side parted section of the hair. But you want to pull the hair straight out from the head and again trim the least little bit off the length.
This Is The First Layer Of Your Cut.
Trim your hair horizontally using your fingers as a guide. First work on the left side of the hair, and then on the right. Hold your scissors vertically and use short snips to cut the ends of your hair.
Then, Comb The Hair, Pinch It In Between Your Fingers, And Move Your Fingers To The Length You Want To Cut.
Clip the front hair in a triangular section. Comb the loose section to remove all knots and tangles. Once you’re done, check the section for any split ends.
You Can Keep Some Hair From The Previous Section In The Next Section.
Avoid choppy layers by pulling the hair out so it is perpendicular to your head before cutting it. Then comb a bit of the hair from the first section into this new section. Continue doing this with other sections of hair, taking off only.
